Port Washington-Saukville School District participates in The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) a federally assisted meal program operating in public schools . It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established in 1946 by President Harry Truman .
PWSSD FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH IMPORTANT MESSAGES
Families receiving either Food Share or W-2 cash payments or Medicaid will get a letter from the school district automatically qualifying your children for free lunch at the beginning of August each year. You do not have to fill out an application.
For those families who earn wages and apply for free or reduced lunch, a new application for free or reduced lunch must be completed each year. Application Forms are on the district website, www.pwssd.k12.wi.us under Parent Resources or available at all district schools. A link to the forms is listed below.
