  • How will the District be able to support all those iPads/Chromebooks?

Costs for the devices are covered in our budget. As far as our technology infrastructure, the District has installed wireless access throughout the district and increased the bandwidth to hopefully meet the new demand. We know that there will be glitches along the way, however, we are confident that we are capable of handling issues that may arise in a timely manner.

  • What efforts are being made to provide adequate wireless access in the district?

The District has installed wireless access points in all buildings. A site survey was performed to meet the density needs of the volume of students that may be accessing the Internet and the bandwidth necessary to meet the needs. We expect that we will need to make slight modifications or enhancements to the systems once the density levels in the buildings are truly tested.

  • Do schools have the proper infrastructure needed for a digital learning environment?

The District has installed a wireless infrastructure in all buildings within the district. We also increased our bandwidth to 300 mbps during the 2013-14 school year. The architecture of our Meru network has been designed to support personalized learning. We know that there will not be perfect connectivity once all the devices will be in use. We will make modifications and enhancements to meet our density needs.
