Where Eagles Soar

  • SES students were challenged once again and they came through by raising more than $1,300 for All 4 Books during the Fall Book Fair.

So he's been duct taped to a wall, pelted with water balloons, and now snowballs!

Message from the Principal

  • Greetings Saukville Elementary Students, Parents/Guardians, and Community Members:

I would like to welcome all of you to the 2019-2020 school year.  I hope everyone had an exciting summer and are all fired up for another great year at SES.  Our mission is always to educate all students to their fullest potential in a safe, caring, and productive learning environment.

There are a couple exciting announcements for the new year.  First, we have two new teachers, Caity Martinez will be our new music teacher and Paige Stiede will be our new kindergarten teacher.  Also, the kindergarten wing has had air conditioning installed.  That will sure be nice during some of those hot days we always have in the fall.

The Saukville Parent Association (SPA) has also been meeting and setting their goals for the school year.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank the officers for their continual dedication to improving our school.  Whether it is Winter Wonderland, High Interest Day, or the many Family Fun Nights, our students are constantly being provided with fun and exciting enrichment opportunities.  Our officers this year are Vanessa Marratt (President), Amanda Goetz (Vice President), Kristin Lengle (Treasurer), and Bridget Ruffin (Secretary).  Please feel free to contact any of the officers for more information regarding SPA or how to get involved.

In a continued effort to keep all our students safe we have updated our pick-up/drop-off procedures.  While I know pick-up and drop-off can be slow and frustrating at times, please just remember the safety of the students is our top priority.   We would rather take an extra few minutes if it means everyone gets to where they are supposed to be safely.

I would like to thank all of you, our parents and guardians for entrusting us with your most prized possessions.  We truly appreciate the honor of working with your children and look forward to working with all of you this school year.  Please call the office anytime if you have questions, or feel free to e-mail any staff member regarding your child.

Thank you, and as always, GO EAGLES!

    Mr. Brakke
    Principal

Tuesday Tidbits

  • Tuesday Tidbits

We Are Asking… all parents/guardians to please take this Parent Survey regarding Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  It will only take a minute or two.  Thank you!

Front Circle… is only for dropping off students after the bell rings.  To keep the traffic flowing we ask that you do not park in front of the school and walk your child to the door or in the building.  If you choose to do this, parking is available on Mill St and a few spots to the south.  Thank you!!

If You’re Dropping Off Late… please walk your child in.  With our new security system the front door is locked and kiddos are unsure what to do.  Thank you for your cooperation!

Join US… on Tuesday, January 21 at 6:30pm at Messina’s for a High Interest Day meeting.  The students really look forward to this day, so be a part of the fun!!  If you will be attending the meeting please text Vanessa Marratt at 414-412-7711.  Hope to see you there!

The Snow Is Finally Here… so be sure your child is dressed appropriately with boots/snow pants/hats/mittens for outdoor recess.

Mark Your Calendar… for Winter Wonderland on Friday, January 31.  This is an evening of fun for the entire family with raffles/silent auction, classroom basket and staff raffles, games, of course the ever popular cake walk, and much more!!  You won’t want to miss this one.

Keep Filling Those Winter Wonderland Baskets!… All money raised from the baskets goes directly back to the grade level.  Below are the themes.

Read To Succeed… and receive a free ticket for Six Flags Great America to be used during the summer of 2020.  New this year you will be able to log hours online.  To register, visit www.sixflags.com/books and use Mrs. Heinzen’s code: MJZDV or keep track of your child’s reading by using the log attached.
